Forth of July Extravaganza!

*According to my stats, some of my followers are not from the United States and may not celebrate the 4th of July. This is one post of mine you want to skip. If not, enjoy!

Hello Everybody! Happy 4th of July whether you celebrate or not. I thought it would be quite fun to have a bit of a 4th of July Extravaganza where I go and share facts, tell cheesy jokes, and maybe a few more things. Let’s just see how it goes!

4th of July  Facts

Today, the States will turn 239 years old.

56 men signed the Declaration of Independence

In 1777, Fireworks were first used along with bonfires and bells, by Congress to celebrate the first anniversary.

In 1870, The 4th of July became a legal federal holiday.

71% of Americans prefer mustard over ketchup on their hotdogs 

Today, 150 million hotdogs will be consumed. That’s enough to stretch from Washington D.C. to Los Angeles 5 times!

4th of July Common Activities:

  • BBQs
  • Fireworks
  • Parades
  • Celebrating with family and friends
  • Dressing patriotic 
  • Eating tons of s’mores
  • A Water Balloon fight

* Some of these activities are specific to my family. These are just some activities off the top of my head. I might of left out some pretty important ones. Comment below if you can think of any I missed.

I hope this taught you at least one thing about America’s birthday, more commonly known as the 4th of July.
