Book Review: Nerd Camp 2.0

Today I’m finally doing a book review that’s not during What I’m Reading Wednesday’s. Today I am reviewing Nerd Camp 2.0 by Elissa Brent Weissman. This book is the sequel to Nerd Camp.

Summary:

Last summer, Gabe went to a summer camp for nerds called Summer Center for Gifted Enrichment. Summer Center for Gifted Enrichment was six weeks of “righteous learning.” This summer is going to be different. Gabe is still going to “Nerd Camp,” but this year his step brother Zack was all set to go to a nearby sleep away camp called Camp Seneca that has everything from skateboarding to rock climbing. But a wildfire destroys his camp and seemingly his summer. Now all of Camp Seneca will be sharing the same  campgrounds as the Nerd Camp. The fun filled summer that Gabe dreamed about all year has now become “a geeks nightmare,” and an on going war. The two very different worlds collide. Can these two camps and brothers survive the summer?

Rating: 10/10 or 5 stars

Good Reads Rating: 4/5 stars

Amazon Rating: 4.6/5 stars

Age Range: 8-12 years old.

Grade Range: Grades  3-7.

Do I recommend the book? Yes! I think you should read the first book before this one so you can get to know Gabe and Zack as well as their very different personalities. Zack isn’t in very much of the first book and Gabe is the main character. I recommend this person for anyone that wants to embrace their inner nerd or jock or just loves a good adventure book 🙂

Thanks for reading and Stay tuned for more Book Reviews 🙂
