Top Ten Tuesday’s: Books For Fantasy Fans

Hello Everyone! It’s Tuesday and that means three hours of testing at school for me!! Luckily it’s time for another Top Ten Tuesdays! This weekly meme is hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. You should definitely check them out if you haven’t already! This week’s topic is:

Ten Books Every X Should Read (up to you! Examples: every history nerd, memoir lover, ballet lover, feminist, college student, etc etc.)

I have decided to do Ten Books Every Fantasy Fan Should Read

Top Ten Tuesdays

Ten Books Every Fantasy Fan Should Read:

  1. The Harry Potter series by J.K Rowling

This is a no brainer. If you haven’t read this amazing series yet… What are you waiting for?!

2. The Divergent series by Veronica Roth

This is more of a dystopian book. It can also be fantasy in some ways. I have only read the first two books and those were brilliant. I have however heard bad things about the last book. If you haven’t read the series, I suggest you do! Just don’t see the movies. I heard they aren’t the best

3. The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins

This was a brilliant series. It definitely kept me reading till the last book. If you haven’t read the series and love suspense, adventure, family and triumph, this is the series for you.

4. The Warriors series by Erin Hunter

This series is definitely aimed at children. It’s about talking cats that are in clans. The cats are constantly battling and hunting. It’s definitely a simple page turner series. I recommend it for you or a younger child you know that loves cats and can handle some violence.

5. The Survivors series by Erin Hunter

This is just like the Warriors series but with dogs. It’s another page turner series. This author writes for 9-12 year olds. You or someone you know should definitely read them if they love dogs and fantasy books and can handle some violence.

This is a pretty short Top Ten Tuesdays and it consisted only of series’. I hope you enjoyed it anyway 😀

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for next week’s Top Ten Tuesdays!!

Totally Should’ve Book Tag!!

Hello everyone!! It’s finally Friday!! In honor of it being Friday, I decided to do a book tag. Nobody officially tagged me to do this. I actually found it by looking at the “book tag” tag in the Reader. This tag seems to be answering “totally should’ve” questions with a  book that fits it best. Without further ado, let’s begin!

Totally Should've

1) Totally Should’ve Gotten A Sequel.

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell needs a sequel!! Many can argue that Carry On is the sequel. In some ways it is, in others it isn’t. Fangirl needs a sequel that’s about Levi and Cath. I honestly need more of their adorable relationship. The Fanfic was interesting and pretty adorable but I only enjoyed it shaped around the romance of Levi and Cath. Not by it self.

2) Totally Should’ve Had a Spin-Off Series.

This question is way too hard! There are so many series’ that need a spin-off.

3)An Author Who Should Totally Write More Books.

There are so many authors that fit this!! I’m going to say J.K. Rowling. Her writing is absolutely amazing. Look at the popularity of Harry Potter! Nothing could ever be better than Harry Potter but she should still write more!

4) A Character Who Totally Should’ve Ended Up With Someone Else.

I definitely love Harry and Ginny but I feel like Harry and Chu could’ve been pretty adorable too. Just my opinion.

5) Totally Should’ve Ended Differently.

The Hunger Games series. Mockingjay just ended so abruptly. It definitely needed more of a gradual ending than a “And then they lived happily ever after”

6)Totally Should’ve Had a Movie Franchise.

All the books that I can think of already have their own movies.

7)Totally Should’ve Had a TV Show.

I feel like the Hunger Games or Harry Potter would make pretty good TV shows. There would definitely be lots of cliffhangers/suspense.

8)Totally Should’ve Had Only One POV

I don’t know… I absolutely love reading different views.

9) Totally Should’ve Had a Cover Change.

This isn’t the Paper Towns book I can buy but this is absolutely terrible. It definitely needs a cover change.

10)Totally Should’ve Kept the Original Cover.

The Paper Towns cover above is one of them. Why would someone put that as a cover of a pretty good book?!

11) Totally Should’ve Stopped At Book One

I haven’t finished the Divergent series but have heard how the last book really messed the series up. Maybe the Divergent series should’ve stopped at book 1 or 2 so the series wasn’t ruined. Just a thought…

Since this tag hasn’t been done by very many people, I’m actually going to tag some bloggers.

Book Traveling Thursdays (#12)

Hey everyone! We’ve almost made it to the weekend 🙂 That means it’s time for Book Traveling Thursday’s! This weekly meme is hosted by Catia @ The Girl Who Reads Too Much and Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog. You definitely need to check out their blogs! You can find out info about the meme, themes and more at the Goodreads group. This week’s theme is:

National Siblings Day is a few days away. Choose a book that has your favorite bookish siblings.

Book Traveling Thursdays

There are so many bookish siblings to choose from! Some of them are in books I’ve already done. I am going to do Indigo’s Star by Hillary McKay. This is part of a series. The siblings are definitely tight-knit and always looking out for each other.

Original Cover/Cover From My Country (US):

Favorite Cover(s):

435495English

Indigon tähtiFinnish

Se vires uma estrela cadente pede um desejo (Clube das Amigas, #84)Portuguese

There isn’t very many covers to choose from. My favorite is probably the English one because it’s so unique and beautiful.

Least Favorite(s):

7193474English

Indigos stjärna (Casson Family, #2) Swedish

Indygo i gwiazdyPolish

Indigo's Star (Casson Family, #2)English

Out of all the covers, I had more I didn’t like. The bottom line with this book is that they definitely shouldn’t use faces on the cover. That’s what ruined most of these. A couple of them are fine but others are not.

That’s a wrap! This book definitely doesn’t have very many covers. The majority seem to be English. Sorry there wasn’t much variety this week!

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for next week’s Book Traveling Thursday’s!

WWW Wednesday (#14)

Hey everyone! It’s halfway through the week and that mean’s it’s time for WWW Wednesday! This weekly meme is currently hosted by Sam. Go check out her amazing blog if you haven’t already 🙂 To participate, all you have to do is answer 3 questions:

What did you recently read?

What are you currently reading?

What are you going to read next?

WWW Wednesday

Recently Read:

I just finished this book last night. It was absolutely amazing and kept me turning the pages till the end. This is basically the second series of the Survivors. The book ended with such a cliffhanger that I want to get my hands on the next book.

Currently Reading:

This book is more culture and racism based. It’s all about this boy named Tyler and his family. They need some extra help on the farm so they hire some Hispanic helpers. This happens when Tyler is away at his Aunt and Uncles in Boston. Tyler first thinks they are “trespassers” and “Native Americans.” I definitely will do a review on this book. I definitely recommend it thus far.

Going to Read:

Like I mentioned above, this is the 2nd book in the second series of the Survivors books. Phew, that was a mouthful.

This will definitely be a bit of a different read. It’s more romance/contemporary based which I don’t normally read. It doesn’t have the best rating on Goodreads so we will have to see how it goes.

What have you been reading this past week? Let me know in the comments or link your own WWW post.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more WWW Wednesdays!
