Top Ten Tuesday| Comic Book Villains

Hey everyone! I’m so sorry for being MIA once again. Anyway,  It’s time for another Top Ten Tuesday! This weekly meme is hosted by the fantastic people @ The Broke and the Bookish! You definitely need to check their blog out if you haven’t already. This week’s topic is:

All About The Villains–top ten favorite/most compelling villains in books, top ten of the most vile villains/bad guys in books, top ten villains I secretly (or not so secretly) love, favorite tv villains, favorite comic book villains, ten “villains” of contemporary lit.

As you can probably tell by the title, I have chosen to do ten comic book villains. They may or may not be my favorites. Who knows?

Ten Comic Book Villains!

1. Joker-DC Universe (Batman)

He’s so creepy, the enemy of Batman and has such a strange laugh. What’s not to love?

2. Doctor Octopus or Doc Ock- Marvel Comics (Spiderman)

He has so many metal arms and he’s one of the many enemies of Spiderman.

3. Mr. Freeze- DC Universe (Batman)

He’s a man who can freeze his enemies in his path (*wink, wink*)

4. Sandman-Marvel Comics (Spiderman)

He uses sand as his weapon, and you won’t see it coming.

5. Harley Quinn- DC Comics (Batman)

She uses a huge hammer as her weapon and she gets to be dressed as a jester. Instead of telling jokes, she’s hammering you to bits.

6. Venom- DC Comics (Spiderman)

A creature who can take over other bodies. He then uses them to his advantage. Himself alone, is frightening. His voice is terrifying and his attacks dangerous.

I could only think of six. I guess I’m a huge Spiderman fan without realizing it! Who’s your favorite comic book villains and why? Let me know!

What I’m Reading Wednesday’s!

Hello everyone! It’s time for another What I’m Reading Wednesday’s. This week’s books were recently finished no more than a week ago. If you’re unfamiliar with this weekly event, check out the link here.

The first book is called “Down the Mysterly River” by Bill Willingham.

Max “the Wolf” is a top-notch Boy Scout, an expert at orienteering, and a master at being prepared. It’s a little odd when he suddenly finds himself, with no memories of the recent or distant past and lost in unfamiliar woods. What’s even odder still, is that he meets a Badger named Banderbrock, a black bear named Walden, and McTavish the Monster (who might be a old barn cat.) All of them talk and are as clueless and confused as Max. Before long, Max and his newfound friends run into a group of hunters and their deadly hounds. Known as the Blue Cutters, these hunters are armed with powerful blue swords. They capture and alter the chosen victim to who they want to be. For a purpose that Max and his friends can’t figure out. Unless he can solve the mystery of the strange forested world he’s landed in, Max may find himself and his friends changed beyond recognizion.

Jules and Josh are twins who moved from Pittsburgh and what to join Dr. Mac’s Vet Volunteers. The trouble is, when they arrived at their new school, Jules got off on the wrong foot with Maggie, Dr. Mac’s granddaughter. Even worse?
