Go check their blogs out for bookish posts. To find out more information, future themes and more, go visit the meme’s Goodreads group here! This week’s theme is:

Here’s to different worlds… Choose a book set in a fictional world.

This theme actually made me smile. I only read fiction so this is literally every book I’ve read. I have decided to do Side Effects May Vary by Julie Murphy. This is one of the many reviews I need to do eventually. Let’s get started!

Original Cover/Cover From My Country (US):

Side Effects May Vary

There isn’t very many covers for this book. My favorite cover is the original one. It’s very simple yet eye-catching.

Least Favorite Cover:

Amore e altri effetti collateraliItalian

I just had to single Italy out this week. The cover has a random person on it which is one of my book pet peeves. This was the only cover that was different from the original.

That’s a wrap! I apologize for the lack of covers this week. What book would you have chosen for this theme? Let me know!

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more Book Traveling Thursdays!!

Book Traveling Thursday (#35)|Spooky!

Hey everyone! It’s Thursday and that mean’s it’s time for another Book Traveling Thursday.This weekly meme is hosted by Cátia @ The Girl Who Read Too Much and Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog! Go check them out for all things bookish and amazing 🙂 To find out more info, future themes and more, go visit the meme’s Goodreads group here. This week’s theme is:

Halloween is here! Choose a spooky read that you have either read or want to read.

Since I don’t like reading spooky books, I have decided to do a spooky read I don’t want to read. I have chosen Miss Peregrines School For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. It’s a book with some lower reviews and a movie coming out. I definitely don’t want to read it.

Original Cover/Cover From My Country:

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children (Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children, #1)

Favorite Cover(s):

Die Insel der besonderen KinderGerman

Trại Trẻ Đặc Biệt Của Cô Peregrine (Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children, #1)Vietmanese

Osobliwy dom pani PeregrinePolish

My favorite out of these is the German one. Normally German covers are among my least favorites. This cover is my favorite because of the colors and how the girl seems to be floating higher then in the original.

Least Favorite(s):

El hogar de Miss Peregrine para niños peculiares (Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children, #1)Spanish

This is the movie one but it still isn’t the best.

La casa per bambini speciali di Miss PeregrineItalian

My least favorite out of these two is the movie cover. No hate to the Spanish cover. Other countries have the exact same one. I first saw it as the Spanish one when I disliked it. It’s too bright and cheerful.

That’s a wrap! The covers for this were mainly identical to the original and the Spanish. Hopefully next month will have more diverse covers. What is your favorite spooky read? Let me know!

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for next week’s BTT!

Library Book Haul (#8)

Hey everyone! The Top Ten Tuesday topic didn’t spur any ideas so I decided to do a library book haul instead. I haven’t done a library book haul in a long time so this should be fun! This haul consists of two young adult books and three tween books.

fullsizerender-6

*All These Book Covers Are Linked To Goodreads*

1. Highly Illogical Behavior by John Corey Whaley

Highly Illogical Behavior

This book has been floating around for a bit. I’m finally going to read it and see if I enjoy it. It’s a book about a boy who is agoraphobic. He hasn’t left his house in three years. A girl named Lisa wants to try to change that. It reminds me of Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon a bit. I’ll definitely do a review.

2. Chasing Secrets by Gennifer Choldenko

Chasing Secrets

A tween book set in 1900’s San Francisco. It revolves around a girl named Lizzie and her adventures. I have enjoyed historic fiction before so I wanted to give this a shot. It’s a tween book so no review.

3.  The Thing About Jellyfish by Ali Benjamin

The Thing About Jellyfish

A tween book about a girl named Suzie. After her friend dies in a drowning accident, Suzie is sure it was caused by a jellyfish sting. She goes to extreme lengths to prove her theory. There will be no review.

4. Poached by Stuart Gibbs

Poached (FunJungle #2)

A tween book about a boy named Teddy who’s trying to solve the mystery of the Koala captors. No review will be done.

5. To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before (Book #1) by Jenny Han

To All the Boys I've Loved Before (To All the Boys I've Loved Before, #1)

A young adult book about a girl named Lara. Instead of confessing her feelings to her crushes, she writes them letters. Her secret letters to her crushes are sealed as if to be sent off. When the box of letters is somehow mailed, she’s confronted by ex-crushes. A review will be done.

That’s a wrap! Have you read any of these books? Let me know your thoughts!

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more library book hauls!

Go check their amazing bookish blogs out 🙂 To find out more info about this weekly meme, future themes and more, go to the meme’s Goodreads group here. This week’s  theme is:

Everyone needs at least on lazy day! Choose a book you would want to read in a lazy day at home or the beach.

As always there are lots of books that would fit this book that I’ve already done. I have chosen to do Every Day by David Levithan. It’s a topsy-turvy book with lots of twists and turns. A great book for a day at home or the beach.

Original Cover/Cover From My Country:

Every Day (Every Day, #1)

Favorite Cover(s):

Letztendlich sind wir dem Universum egal (Every Day, #1)German

Cada díaSpanish

A Cada DiaPortuguese

A comme aujourd'hui (Pôle Fiction)French

Out of these, my favorite is the German one. It shows several heads that all look very different. You can tell that each head/person have their own personalities. Overall it’s very creative.

Least Favorite(s):

Всеки ден (Every Day, #1)Bulgarian

每,一天Chinese

Svakog dana (Every Day #1)Serbian

My least favorite out of these is the Bulgarian one. It isn’t very creative and kind of plain.

That’s a wrap! What’s your favorite and least favorite covers? Let me know!

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for next week’s Book Traveling Thursday!

Book Traveling Thursday (#25)

Hey everyone! It’s Thursday and that means tomorrow’s Friday! I hope everyone has had a great week and can have a relaxing and enjoyable rest of their week. It also means it’s time for another Book Traveling Thursday! This meme is hosted by the amazing Cátia @ The Girl Who Read Too Much and  wonderful Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog. Go check out their outstanding blogs if you haven’t already! To find more information, future themes and more, go to the meme’s Goodreads group here. This week’s theme (the first of July!) is:

Book with an Eye Candy Cover. Choose a book that you read/bought because of the cover.

I never get a book only because of the cover. The cover definitely does influence me though. I’ve already done a lot of books that would’ve been perfect for this theme. I have decided to do Insurgent by Veronica Roth. It definitely has an eye-catching cover.

Original Cover/Cover From My Country (US):

Insurgent (Divergent, #2)

Favorite Cover(s):

Tödliche Wahrheit (Die Bestimmung, #2)German

All that changed was the colors but I still enjoy it

Divergente (Divergente, #2)French

This is an interesting split cover!

Pobunjeni (Divergent, #2)Serbian

My favorite is the Serbian cover because it has a gloomy and mysterious feel about it.

Least Favorite Cover(s):

Divergente (Divergente, #2)French

المتمردة إنسورجنتArabic

Rezistencia (Divergencia, #2)Slovak

My least favorite out of these is probably the French one. They just put a random person on the cover!

That’s a wrap! Most of these covers aren’t really that good or bad. The majority of the covers looked like the original. What are your favorite and least favorite covers? Let me know! I apologize for the small cover selection this week.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for next week’s Book Traveling Thursday!

Book Traveling Thursdays (#5)

Hey everyone! It’s Thursday and that means it’s time for my favorite meme. Below is the rules and information about Book Traveling Thursdays. It was created by Catia @The Girl Who Read Too Much and Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog. You definitely need to check out their blogs 🙂

1) Pick a book! At the beginning of every month a list of themes will be posted. All you have to do is choose a book that fits the theme.
2) In your blog post, the first thing you will want to include is an explanation of why your chosen book fits the theme.
2) Look at covers from multiple editions and multiple countries for the book you chose.
3) Finally, include pictures of the original cover, the cover from your country (if their are multiple covers from your country include all of them!), your favorite cover, and your least favorite cover.
4) Be sure to tag your posts with booktravelingthursdays so we can all see each other’s posts!

You can find themes and more at the Goodreads group here.
This week’s theme: It’s almost Valentine’s Day! Choose your favorite couple.
This week’s theme is a bit vague. I will be doing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I know I already did a Harry Potter book but Harry and Ginny are one of my favorite couples.

Original Cover/Cover from My Country (US):

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Harry Potter #7)English

Favorite Cover(s):

Harry Potter Et Les Reliques De La Mort (Harry Potter, #7)French

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Harry Potter, #7)English

Harry Potter y las reliquias de la muerte (Harry Potter, #7)Spanish

Гаррі Поттер і смертельні реліквії (Гаррі Поттер, #7)Ukrainian

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Harry Potter, #7)English

I had trouble finding covers I liked. My favorite out of these three is the first English one.

Least Favorite Cover(s):

Harry Potter e i doni della morte (Harry Potter, #7)Italian

Harry Potter och Dödsrelikerna (Harry Potter, #7)Swedish

Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows (Harry Potter, #7)English

Harry Potter und die Heiligtümer des Todes (Harry Potter, #7)German

Ο Χάρι Πότερ και οι κλήροι του θανάτου (Χάρι Πότερ, #7)Greek

My absolute least favorite is either the Greek or Swedish one.

There wasn’t a huge variety of covers. I apologize for the vast majority being English editions.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more Book Traveling Thursdays!’
