Book And Tea Tag!

Hey everyone! I’m back with a tag. I saw this on @A Dance With Books. I wasn’t tagged but I loved the concept. I personally haven’t had much tea or coffee so I don’t relate to it in that way. Let’s get started!

Earl Gray  -> A Classic:

Until recently I would’ve said that I didn’t have an answer for this. Recently in High School we read To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. I can definitely understand why it’s considered a classic. Thank goodness for required reading 😀

Chai Tea -> A Book That Takes Place In Another Country

Another book we read this year was Night By Elie Wiesel. It’s an Autobiography with some fiction thrown in. The book takes place in Poland, Germany, and Romania. It’s a first hand account of Wiesel’s experience during the Holocaust. I definitely recommend this if you’re into historic books and eye-opening experiences.

Green Tea -> A Light Book

This book always ends up in my tag posts. The book is Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. This is definitely a light and romantic book. If you haven’t read it, where have you been?!

Mint Tea -> A Book With A Refreshing Twist

I always enjoy a good plot twist! The Raven Cycle Series by Maggie Stiefvater are always full of twists and turns. I’m not sure why it has some bad reviews on Goodreads. I’ve really enjoyed the series so far!

Chamomile Tea  -> A Book That Calms You Down

A Blind Guide To Normal by Beth Vrabel was a calm book. There wasn’t too many major plot twists but it was still an enjoyable read. It’s meant for a younger audience but I still recommend it!

Cookie  -> A Novella Or Another Addition To A Book

I don’t really know if this counts but I really enjoyed Drama, Smile and Sisters all by Raina Telgemeier. The storyline and illustrations are very enjoyable and incredible.

Sugar -> Very Cutesy Feel Good Read

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han was definitely a feel good read. There was conflict and drama but it wasn’t over the top or stressful to read.

To All the Boys I've Loved Before (To All the Boys I've Loved Before, #1)

Milk -> A Book Others Disliked But You Enjoyed

The Raven Cycle series would’ve been a perfect answer for this one. I’m going to have to say Paper Towns by John Green. It seems like it was a book that people had some issues with. I personally enjoyed it.

Coziness/Sociability -> Three Characters You’d Invite To Your High Tea

Noah from the Raven Cycle series, Theodore Finch from All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven and Scout from To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. This would be a crazy tea time!

You can find out more information about the meme, future themes and more at the Goodreads group. This week’s theme is:

World’s Laughter Day was a few days ago. Choose a book that makes you laugh.

This was actually pretty tough! I finally chose to do The BFG by Roald Dahl. All the made up words and great descriptions definitely made me laugh!

Original/Cover From My Country (US):

The BFGOriginal The BFGCover I read

Favorite Cover(s):

Il GGGItalian

De GVRDutch

Sophiechen und der RieseGerman

SVJSwedish

All the covers are pretty darn similar! I apologize for that. My favorite is the Italian because of the yellow border/edges.

Least Favorite(s):

غول بزرگ مهربانPersian

WielkomiludPolish

Sophie và tên khổng lồVietnamese

ยักษ์ใจดีThai

Oh my gosh! The Thai and Polish ones are pretty creepy. This is a pretty well known book so finding covers wasn’t hard.

Top Ten Tuesday’s: Books For Fantasy Fans

Hello Everyone! It’s Tuesday and that means three hours of testing at school for me!! Luckily it’s time for another Top Ten Tuesdays! This weekly meme is hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. You should definitely check them out if you haven’t already! This week’s topic is:

Ten Books Every X Should Read (up to you! Examples: every history nerd, memoir lover, ballet lover, feminist, college student, etc etc.)

I have decided to do Ten Books Every Fantasy Fan Should Read

Top Ten Tuesdays

Ten Books Every Fantasy Fan Should Read:

  1. The Harry Potter series by J.K Rowling

This is a no brainer. If you haven’t read this amazing series yet… What are you waiting for?!

2. The Divergent series by Veronica Roth

This is more of a dystopian book. It can also be fantasy in some ways. I have only read the first two books and those were brilliant. I have however heard bad things about the last book. If you haven’t read the series, I suggest you do! Just don’t see the movies. I heard they aren’t the best

3. The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins

This was a brilliant series. It definitely kept me reading till the last book. If you haven’t read the series and love suspense, adventure, family and triumph, this is the series for you.

4. The Warriors series by Erin Hunter

This series is definitely aimed at children. It’s about talking cats that are in clans. The cats are constantly battling and hunting. It’s definitely a simple page turner series. I recommend it for you or a younger child you know that loves cats and can handle some violence.

5. The Survivors series by Erin Hunter

This is just like the Warriors series but with dogs. It’s another page turner series. This author writes for 9-12 year olds. You or someone you know should definitely read them if they love dogs and fantasy books and can handle some violence.

This is a pretty short Top Ten Tuesdays and it consisted only of series’. I hope you enjoyed it anyway 😀

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for next week’s Top Ten Tuesdays!!

Top Ten Tuesdays

This week’s topic is:

10 Of My Most Recent 5 Star Reads (Or Ten Of The Best Books I’ve Read Recently if you don’t 5 star stuff…or you could do 5 of my latest five star reads & five of my most disappointing or 1 star reads)

I haven’t done a 1 star yet but I don’t do too many 5 stars. I’ll just do ten books I’ve read recently.

Ten Books I’ve Read Recently:

  1. Me and Miranda Mullaly by Jake Gerhardt

I am currently read this now. It’s not my favorite book but I’ve grown to like it a bit more.

2. The Forget-Me-Not Summer by Leila Howland

This book is so good! It’s more of a tween or children’s book but is so well written. I definitely recommend it.

3.House of Robots Robots Go Wild by James Patterson and Chris Grabenstein

This is definitely more of a children’s book. It’s so cute and well written though. I am in love with books written by James Patterson and Chris Grabenstein. They are both amazing writers together or apart.

4. Simon v.s The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli

I have raved about how adorable Simon and Blue are. You can check out my review here. You definitely need to read this book ASAP.

5. Survivors The Endless Lake by Erin Hunter

Cover art

This book was so amazing! If you know someone who loves animals, fantasy and/or adventure, you definitely need to have them check this series out!

All I could come with was 5! Oh well, At least I tried!

Do you want to read any of these books?

Book Review: Surviviors #5: The Endless Lake

Hey everyone! Today I am doing another Book Review. This book is for ages 8-12 or grades 3-7. Therefore, it is a Young Teen book. I am a bit older than 12 years old so you can obviously stretch the limits 😉 Today I am reviewing Survivors Book #5: The Endless Lake.

Blog Graphic (1)

Name: Survivors #5: The Endless Lake

Author: Erin Hunter
# of pages: 336
My Rating: 5/5 stars
Goodreads Rating: 4.4/5 stars
Amazon Rating: 4.8/5 stars

Amazon Summary:

At the edge of a strange lake that seems to stretch on forever, Lucky and his Pack are about to discover even more new dangers. With the Fierce Dogs on their trail and the Storm of Dogs looming on the horizon, every dog will have to fight for survival—or be swept away.

My Thoughts:

I definitely recommend this book for anyone that loves adventure, animals and fantasy. This book is the 5th book in the series. It continues to follow the journey of Lucky and his Wild Pack. This is a short page turner that will keep you begging for more.

If you are curious about this series, I suggest you check out the first book here!
