My Intimidating TBR Pile Tag

Hey guys! It’s finally the weekend. For most, that means it’s time to have fun and relax. I’ve decided to do another tag. This time I am doing the My Intimidating TBR Pile Tag. @My Tiny Obsessions did this tag back in May. I was unofficially tagged and am excited to do the tag. Without further ado, here we go!

THE NEW YOU

1) What Book Have You Been Unable To Finish?

Don’t hate me for this but Carry On by Rainbow Rowell. I started the book and after a chapter or two, I put it down. I don’t know if I’ll ever start it again. It’s really not my type of book.

2) What Book Have You Yet To Read Because You Just Haven’t Had Time?

So many books! Too many to count.

3) What Book Have You Yet To Read Because It Is a Sequel?

I hope I actually understand this question XD I’m going to say I FunnyTV by James Patterson and Chris Grabenstein . I have yet to read the third book so I can’t read this one yet.

4) What Book Have You Yet To Read Because It Is Brand New?

Nothing that’s been released. I’m looking forward to Nicola Yoon’s new book The Sun Is Also a Star. It’s going to be released November 1st, 2o16.

5) What Book Have You Yet To Read Because You Read A Book By The Same Author and Didn’t Enjoy It?

Nothing comes to mind.

6) What Book Have You Yet To Read Because You’re Just Not In The Mood For It?

That would have to be Four by Veronica Roth. I got the book for Christmas (I think) and have yet to read it. I’m not in the mood and am not sure if it will be good.

7) What Book Have You Yet To Read Because It Is Humungous.

This book probably isn’t very long and is not actually on my shelf. It’s The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. This has been on my TBR since… now probably. It’s 584 pages, so longer than most books I’ve read.

8) What Book Have You Yet To Read Because It Was a Cover Buy That Turned Out To Have Bad Reviews?

I don’t actually own this book so it wasn’t a cover buy. The book is Allegiant by Veronica Roth. I’ve read the first two books in the Divergent series but stopped before this one. It’s a bit intimidating because I haven’t heard good things about it.

9) What Is The Most Intimidating Book In Your TBR Pile?

I actually don’t have a TBR pile right now. I need to run to the library to restock it. I don’t really have long term piles. I just have ones that last a week or so.

I have no idea how far this tag has gotten. Because of that, I am going to tag Everyone who wants to participate!

That’s a wrap! I hope you enjoyed this tag.  It was really fun to do 🙂 Feel free to leave any future tag suggestions!

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more tags!!

I Messed Up Book Tag!

Hey everyone! It’s Monday and that means it’s Memorial Day. What are you doing to celebrate? Let me know! As you might’ve guessed by the title, I am doing the I Messed Up Book Tag. I was unofficially tagged by the amazing Catia @ The Girl Who Reads Too Much!  Go check her out! A shout out to anyone who has done this tag and also officially or unofficially tagged me for this. Thank you 🙂 Let’s get started!

1) A Character Appearance You Misread or Imagined Differently.

Oh gosh, I misread and imagine characters differently all the time. For the sake of this question though, I’m going to say… Hazel from TFIOS. I always pictured her differently.

2) A Character Name That You’ve Been Pronouncing Wrong.

This wasn’t too recently. When I recently read Harry Potter for the first time, I pronounced Hermione’s name wrong in my head.

3) An Overused Trope that is Your Guilty Pleasure.

I honestly had to look up trope. I realize that I have a thing for people following in love at first sight. I can’t get enough. It makes the story so adorable and amazing.

 4) A Cliché Character Type That You Like Better On Screen than Reading About:

I honestly have no idea. I don’t watch many book to film adaptions so I can’t honestly answer this.

5) A Word/Phase You Learned Because of It’s Use in a Book:

There are so many words/phases I’ve learned. One of them is Muggle from the Harry Potter series. This might not count since it’s not a “real” series but who cares?

6) Have You Ever Not Read or Completed a Required Reading Book for School?

I must be too much of a good student. I always complete every required book and stay right with the class. I also do all the required assignments that go with it.

 7) Have You Ever (or Wanted to) Skip a Chapter from the Point of View of a Charcter You Weren’t Interested In?

I don’t think this counts as a POV but I wanted to skip the fan fiction parts of Fangirl. I just wanted to get to more of Cath and Levi!

8) Have You Ever Cancelled Social Plans to Read a Book?

This is going to sound sad but no because I don’t normally have social plans 😦

What an awesome tag! Since I’m not good about remembering/knowing who has done this, I tag Everyone! You are all amazing people but everyone has messed up. Link your post of this in the comments so I can’t see what you’ve messed up on!

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more tags! Happy Memorial Day 🙂

This Or That Book Tag!!

Hey everyone! I haven’t done a book tag in so long. This book tag has been floating around for a while and I decided to finally do it. It’s called the This Or That Book Tag. I wasn’t officially tagged by anyone so thank you to everyone who has done the tag. I love seeing your answers 🙂

This

The Rules:

  1. Mention the creator of the tag (Ayunda @Tea and Paperbacks).
  2. Thank the blogger who tagged you!
  3. Choose one of the options, you don’t have to tell the reasons why you chose that but you can also do them if you want to.
  4. Tag 10 other people to do this tag to spread the love!

One: Read on the Couch or On the Bed?

Bed without a doubt! I always read on my bed. My room is always so quiet and cut off from the rest of the house. I can’t read if it’s too loud. Overall, I love my bed XD

Two: Male Main Character or Female Main Character?

I normally read books with female main characters so I’ll choose that. There can definitely be some good male characters too. I would choose both but I have to choose one or the other.. so female. It all comes down to how well the book is written.

Three: Sweet Snacks or Salty Snacks?

I’m going to cheat and say neither. I don’t really eat while I read. If I had to choose I would choose sweet.

Four:Trilogies or Quartets?

I don’t really have a preference.

Five: First Person Point of View or Third Person Point of View?

First person POV all the way!!

Six: Reading at Night or In The Morning?

Whenever I can! If I had to choose reading at night. That’s when I do most of my reading.

Seven: Libraries or Book Stores?

I love them both but I’m going to say Libraries. You can read any book you want for free! Well it’s free until it’s overdue. When  I go to bookstores, I can’t seem to find what I want. If I can, it’s way too expensive.

Eight: Books that Make You Laugh Or Cry?

It’s actually pretty hard to make me cry while reading. I’m going to say make me laugh since that’s easier to do XD

Nine: Black Book Covers Or White Book Covers?

As long as they are beautiful who cares?

Ten: Character Driven or Plot Driven Stories?

I love both but I’m going to have to say character.

This was such a fun book tag! I have no idea who has and hasn’t done this tag so I tag EVERYONE!

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more tags!

The Inside Out Book Tag

Hello Everyone! I was recently nominated to do the Inside Out Book Tag by MyTinyObsessions. Go check out their blog for all things books, movies, and more.

Book That Brings You Joy:

          Image result for tween books

I have many books that brought me joy but Ramona Quimby, Age 8 was one of them because of her antics.

Book That Makes You Angry:

Wonder made me mad because the kids at school were so mean to August just because he looked different.
Book That Makes You Sad:

After Ever After made me so sad because a young boy gets a serious kind of cancer. It made me cry.
Book That Disgusts You:

Not many books disgust me but this Between Shades of Gray  did. The characters were treated badly just because they were women.
Book That Brought You Fear:

The Divergent series has so far scared the crap out of me!
——————————————————————————————————————————————————————
This was a fun tag! If you haven’t seen Inside Out yet, I recommend you do. It’s such a cute movie.
I nominate everyone who wants to participate.
Thanks for reading and Stay tuned for more tags 🙂
