Anne of Windy Poplars (Anne of Green Gables, #4)

This was another great book in the Anne of Green Gables series. It was intriguing and pulled me in from the beginning.

This was a quick read. It took me around a day and was very enjoyable. Though it’s more of a  graphic novel, it’s a page turner.

 Currently Reading:

Sweet Home Alaska

This is a great story! There is lots of obstacles, success and worry for the characters to deal with. It’s set in the 1930s so it’s definitely different. I love it so far!

Library Book Haul (#5)

Hey everyone! Today is Sunday and it’s time for another Library Book Haul! I apologize for this one being so late/early. I wanted to get it out today. Today’s haul consists of  4 unread books and one summer reading prize. Without further ado, let’s get started!!

FullSizeRender (3)

*ALL BOOK TITLES ARE LINKED TO THE BOOK’S GOODREADS PAGE :)*

1.Sweet Home Alaska by Carole Estby Dagg -Tween

Sweet Home Alaska

This book sounded so interesting! It’s set in first Wisconsin then Alaska in 1934; during The Great Depression. You’ll hear about it in a WWW Wednesday or two but I won’t be doing a review.

2.Emily of New Moon by L.M. Montgomery-Tween

Emily of New Moon (Emily, #1)(Not the edition I got)

Another small series by L.M. Montgomery. I love her writing style and characters so much. Now I’m determined to get through all the books she’s written. Just like all Tween books, I won’t be doing an official review.

3. Treasure Hunters #4: Peril At The Top Of The World by James Patterson-Tween

(Goodreads has no cover picture; this is from the B&N site)

I love this series so much! It’s mainly graphic novels but the characters go on such amazing adventures. Won’t be reviewed unless requested, same with all Tween books.

4.I Am The Messenger by Markus Zusak-Young Adult

I Am the Messenger

I loved The Book Thief (review scheduled for Friday) so much that I decided to read more by Zusak. It sounds interesting so I hope it’ll be at least almost as good as The Book Thief. This is the only book that will definitely have a review. The rest can have one with enough requests.

5. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins-Summer Reading Prize/Young Adult

The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1)

As I normally do, I entered the summer reading program at the local library. I read 1,o00 minutes (and more) and turned in my log. I didn’t know I got a  free book but was excited to pick one. I ended up picking a classic: The Hunger Games. I don’t own the other two books so I’ll have to get my hands on those 😀

That’s a wrap! Are any of these books interesting to you? Let me know!

This haul consisted of 3 Tween and 2 Young Adult/Teen books.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more Library Book Hauls.

Book Traveling Thursdays (#27)|Friends

Hey everyone! It’s Thursday and that means it’s time for another Book Traveling Thursday! This wonderful meme is hosted by Càtia @ The Girl Who Reads Too Much and Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog. To find out more info, future themes and more go visit the meme’s Goodreads group here. This week’s theme is:

International Day of Friendship is in two days. Choose a book where friendship matters.

There are some books that would fit this theme that I have already done. I have decided to do Pat of Silver Brush by L.M. Montgomery. Pat relies on her friends for happiness, gossip and laughter.

Original Cover/Cover From My Country (US):

Pat of Silver Bush

This is the original cover published in 1933.

Favorite Cover(s):

Pat ze Srebrnego GajuPolish

Ezüst Erdő Úrnője (Pat, #1)Hungarian

Pat de Silver Bush (Pat, #1)French

My favorite of these was the French one because it’s very realistic and video 🙂

Least Favorite(s):

Vanhan kartanon PatFinnish

This is the only cover I didn’t like. The person doesn’t look like Pat. No hate to Finland 🙂

There wasn’t many covers for this even though this was published a long time ago. What was your favorite and least favorite covers?

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for next week’s Book Traveling Thursday 😀

Book Traveling Thursday (#26) Sequels

Hey everyone!! It’s Thursday and that means it’s time for another Book Traveling Thursday. This meme is hosted by these wonderful people: Càtia @ The Girl Who Read Too Much and Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog. You definitely need to check their amazing blogs out if you haven’t already. To find out more information about the meme, future themes and more, go to the meme’s Goodreads group here. This week’s theme is:

Because some sequels are better than the first book choose your favorite sequel.

I’ve already done some sequels for this. I think I will be doing Anne of Avonlea by L.M Montgomery. This is an old book that I actually haven’t read yet. I’ve read Anne of Green Gables and by accidently read the third one after that. Luckily, I will be reading Anne of Avonlea soon. I’m sure it will be great. Without further ado, here we go!

Original Cover/Cover From My Country (US):

I’m not 100% sure if this is the original cover but it’s one of the first. I don’t know if there is an official cover from my country or not.

Favorite Cover(s):

Ana la de Avonlea (Ana de las Tejas Verdes, #2)Spanish

Енн із ЕйвонліUkrainian

Анн от Авонлий (Анн от Грийн Гейбълс, #2)Bulgarian

21522439Finnish

Out of these, my favorite is the Spanish cover. It has both black and white and color. The Spanish one has both a real and cartoony feel to it too.

Least Favorite Cover(s):

13637667Hungarian

Anne bliver lærer (Anne-bøgerne, #2)Danish

Ania z AvonleaPolish

Cesta za velkým snem (Anne of Green Gables, #2)Czech

My least favorite out of these is the Czech one. It looks like someone took a picture of a random girl and put it on the cover. That girl doesn’t even have red hair like Anne!

That’s a wrap! What are your favorite and least favorite covers? Let me know!

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for next week’s Book Traveling Thursday!

Library Book Haul (#4)

Hey everyone! It’s Monday and that means another library book haul! I apologize for not blogging daily the last few days. I guess I’m not good at keeping a streak. I also apologize for the late post. Enough with my excuses. As you can tell by the title, a library book haul is a haul where I show off my library books. This time I have 5 books to show off!

FullSizeRender (1)

*All Book Titles will be linked to their Goodreads page.*

  1. As Brave as You by Jason Reynolds

As Brave As YouGoodreads

I don’t know if I’ll read this book. I started it but put it down due to the number of times the word “poop” was mentioned. I might give it another shot. It sounds interesting. Just doesn’t have the best beginning.

2. Mistress Pat by L.M. Montgomery

Mistress Pat (Pat, #2)Goodreads (Not the edition I got)

This is another series written by the author of the Anne Shirley series that I have begun to read. The library was out of all of the Anne books except the sixth one. I noticed Montgomery had more books and decided to get them. This is a sequel to Pat of Silver Bush that I am reading now.

3. Ethan, Suspended by Pamela Ehrenberg

Ethan, SuspendedGoodreads

The summary sounded interesting and it will be a nice short read. It doesn’t have the best Goodreads rating but I’ll have to see if I enjoy it or not.

4. The Book Thief by Mark Zusak

The Book Thief

I’m finally going to read The Book Thief! I’ve been going back and forth about reading this and now I finally will. This will be the only book I’ll be doing a review for so stay tuned for that!

5. Pat of Silver Bush by L.M Montgomery

Pat of Silver Bush (Pat, #1)Goodreads (Not the edition I got)

This is book one of what seems to be only a two book series. I am reading this right now and enjoy it a lot. I jumped at the chance of reading more of Montgomery’s books since I am joying the Anne Shirley series so far. So far, I’m not disappointed.

That’s a wrap! Have you read any of these books? What did you think? Let me know! This book haul consisted of one YA and four tween books.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more Library Book Hauls!!
