The Christmas Tag!

Hey everyone! It’s time for a Christmas themed tag! Since I celebrate Christmas, these are the kind of posts I do this time of year. If you don’t celebrate Christmas, you do you! I wasn’t tagged for this, I just saw it floating around on the internet. Let’s get started!

The Christmas Book Tag

1. What is your favorite Christmas film?

I love Frosty The Snowman, How The Grinch Stole Christmas and Home Alone. Those are just my top three. There are so many amazing Christmas movies!

 2. Have You Ever Had A White Christmas?

Only once that I can remember. Even then it wasn’t really a white Christmas. It just snowed a bit. Where I live, it doesn’t snow a whole lot so white Christmas’ don’t really happen.

3. Where Do You Usually Spend Your Holiday?

Christmas Eve is normally at home with the family I live with or extended family. Christmas has always been at my Grandma’s house. Sometimes there’s gatherings with family before or after Christmas. It really depends on what’s going on.

What Is Your Favorite Christmas Song?

This shouldn’t be a question! One of my favorite songs is Winter Wonderland.

Do You Open Any Christmas Presents On Christmas Eve?

We get to open 1-3 presents and then the rest are saved for Christmas.

Can You Name All Of Santa’s Reindeer?

Nope… Rudolph, Vixen, Blitzen, Dasher, Dancer, Comet and Cupid. I looked it up and I only missed two!

What Christmas Traditions Are You Looking Forward To This Year?

Today I will be going to my Grandmas for a small gathering. We have brunch, open presents and stockings. It’s a fun time and very relaxed. On Christmas Eve we normally just stay home but this year we had people over. That might be a new tradition!

Is Your Christmas Tree Real Or Fake?

Ours is real. It’s the biggest one we’ve gotten. I’ve never had a fake tree but  I know people who always have one.

Be Honest, Do You Like Giving Or Receiving Gifts Better?

I enjoy both but it’s satisfying to buy a gift for someone and see their reaction to it.

What’s The Best Christmas Gift You Ever Received?

I honestly have no idea. I can’t remember most of the gifts I received. That doesn’t mean they weren’t amazing, I just can’t remember small specific things like that.

What’s Your Dream Place To Visit For The Holiday Season?

Disneyland, London, New York and Hogwarts. A wide variety of course 🙂

Are You A Pro Present Wrapper Or Do You Fail Miserably?

I consider myself not too bad but other people’s skills blow me away. For the very few gifts I bought, I decided to just use gift bags this year.

Most Memorable Christmas Moment?

My first Christmas was probably pretty memorable. Every Christmas is memorable for me in its own way.

What Made You Realize The Truth About Santa?

Truth? What truth? I’m just kidding. My parents kept it going for a very long time. The kids at school ruined it for me. I was in denial until a few years ago. I’m still a teenager so that was when I was a child.

What Makes The  Holidays Special For You?

Spending time with family! There’s some family that I don’t get to see much so the holidays are the only time I can do that.

I tag anyone who needs a last-minute post! Since it’s Christmas today, nobody will be doing this anymore. Merry Christmas, and if you don’t celebrate, Happy Holidays!

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more tags!

Liebster Award 2.0

Hey everyone!  It’s Monday and today I am doing an award. I was nominated by @TheWhimsicalChick! A huge shoutout to her. This seems slightly  like the Liebster Award I did so long ago. I answer ten questions given to me by The Whimsical Chick and give 10 random facts about myself. I then nominate 10 people and give them 10 questions to answer themselves. I hope to do awards and tags more often 🙂

The Rules:

  1. Post the award on your blog.
  2. Acknowledge the blogger who nominated you.
  3. Answer the questions assigned to you.
  4. Give 10 random facts about yourself.
  5. Nominate 10 deserving bloggers for the award.
  6. Ask 10 questions to your nominees.

The questions:

1.What was your favorite childhood book?

This is tough since I’ve always loved books. I enjoyed Dr. Seuss books like Green Eggs and Ham.

2.Where is one instance where you liked a movie better than the book it was based off of?

I haven’t seen many book to movie adaptions but I’ve always loved the book more. So I guess there hasn’t been an instance yet?

3.Where is one instance where you liked the book better than the movie?

All the instances I’ve seen a book to movie adaption XD

4.Who is your role model?

Definitely my mom. She’s done so much for me and taught me a lot. My mom has made me the person I am today 🙂

5. If you could go back in time, what era would you go to? Would you change anything?

I’d go to the Mesozoic era. It was when the first mammals came. I wouldn’t change anything about history. It’s made the world how it is today.
One of the first mammals

6.What is the most time you have re-read a book?

I don’t know. 3-5 times I believe. I normally don’t re-read. I love reading new books. They’re more exciting and I have no idea what’s going to happen. When I re-read a book, I always seem to remember at least some of what happens.

7.What is your favorite food to snack on while reading?

I don’t eat or drink anything while reading. I get so into the book I’m reading that I can’t do anything else.

8.Who would you dress as for a literary costume party?

Cath from Fangirl, Ginny from Harry Potter and Katniss from the Hunger Games are my top three
49241

9. If you could recommend one book to everyone reading this, what would it be?
That’s a tough one since everyone has different interests. I guess Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone.

10.What is your favorite food?

As a lover of food, this is tough. I’m going to say Macaroni and Cheese. It’s more of a “kids food” but I love it.
This made me hungry!!

10 Facts About Me!

  1. I have had two dogs, two cats, and one rooster/chicken in my lifetime
  2. My favorite colors are purple and blue
  3. I am going into High School next month
  4. One of my obsessions is YouTube. I could watch it for hours.
  5. I have never read the Twilight series
  6. I don’t know how to do a cartwheel
  7. My best friend and I have the same middle name
  8. My favorite TV shows right now are Big Brother, American Ninja Warrior and Bones
  9. I love staying up past midnight and sleeping in past ten am.
  10. I completed the Summer Reading log at my local library and entered to win a set of the Harry Potter books.

I nominate:

No pressure! If you don’t want to do this, then don’t. It’s 100% your choice 😀

Questions For You:

  1. What book made you cringe?
  2.  What are your top 5 favorite authors?
  3. What is your dream vacation destination
  4. How many pets have you had in your life time?
  5. What countries have you lived in?
  6. What was your dream job when you were a child?
  7. What is your job now?
  8. Who is your favorite bookish couple?
  9. Who is your role model?
  10. What are some of your biggest pet peeves?

I can’t wait to see your answers 🙂

That’s a wrap! What would be your answers to the questions I answered? Let me know!

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more tags and awards!

Totally Should’ve Book Tag!!

Hello everyone!! It’s finally Friday!! In honor of it being Friday, I decided to do a book tag. Nobody officially tagged me to do this. I actually found it by looking at the “book tag” tag in the Reader. This tag seems to be answering “totally should’ve” questions with a  book that fits it best. Without further ado, let’s begin!

Totally Should've

1) Totally Should’ve Gotten A Sequel.

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell needs a sequel!! Many can argue that Carry On is the sequel. In some ways it is, in others it isn’t. Fangirl needs a sequel that’s about Levi and Cath. I honestly need more of their adorable relationship. The Fanfic was interesting and pretty adorable but I only enjoyed it shaped around the romance of Levi and Cath. Not by it self.

2) Totally Should’ve Had a Spin-Off Series.

This question is way too hard! There are so many series’ that need a spin-off.

3)An Author Who Should Totally Write More Books.

There are so many authors that fit this!! I’m going to say J.K. Rowling. Her writing is absolutely amazing. Look at the popularity of Harry Potter! Nothing could ever be better than Harry Potter but she should still write more!

4) A Character Who Totally Should’ve Ended Up With Someone Else.

I definitely love Harry and Ginny but I feel like Harry and Chu could’ve been pretty adorable too. Just my opinion.

5) Totally Should’ve Ended Differently.

The Hunger Games series. Mockingjay just ended so abruptly. It definitely needed more of a gradual ending than a “And then they lived happily ever after”

6)Totally Should’ve Had a Movie Franchise.

All the books that I can think of already have their own movies.

7)Totally Should’ve Had a TV Show.

I feel like the Hunger Games or Harry Potter would make pretty good TV shows. There would definitely be lots of cliffhangers/suspense.

8)Totally Should’ve Had Only One POV

I don’t know… I absolutely love reading different views.

9) Totally Should’ve Had a Cover Change.

This isn’t the Paper Towns book I can buy but this is absolutely terrible. It definitely needs a cover change.

10)Totally Should’ve Kept the Original Cover.

The Paper Towns cover above is one of them. Why would someone put that as a cover of a pretty good book?!

11) Totally Should’ve Stopped At Book One

I haven’t finished the Divergent series but have heard how the last book really messed the series up. Maybe the Divergent series should’ve stopped at book 1 or 2 so the series wasn’t ruined. Just a thought…

Since this tag hasn’t been done by very many people, I’m actually going to tag some bloggers.
