Book And Tea Tag!

Hey everyone! I’m back with a tag. I saw this on @A Dance With Books. I wasn’t tagged but I loved the concept. I personally haven’t had much tea or coffee so I don’t relate to it in that way. Let’s get started!

Earl Gray  -> A Classic:

Until recently I would’ve said that I didn’t have an answer for this. Recently in High School we read To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. I can definitely understand why it’s considered a classic. Thank goodness for required reading 😀

Chai Tea -> A Book That Takes Place In Another Country

Another book we read this year was Night By Elie Wiesel. It’s an Autobiography with some fiction thrown in. The book takes place in Poland, Germany, and Romania. It’s a first hand account of Wiesel’s experience during the Holocaust. I definitely recommend this if you’re into historic books and eye-opening experiences.

Green Tea -> A Light Book

This book always ends up in my tag posts. The book is Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. This is definitely a light and romantic book. If you haven’t read it, where have you been?!

Mint Tea -> A Book With A Refreshing Twist

I always enjoy a good plot twist! The Raven Cycle Series by Maggie Stiefvater are always full of twists and turns. I’m not sure why it has some bad reviews on Goodreads. I’ve really enjoyed the series so far!

Chamomile Tea  -> A Book That Calms You Down

A Blind Guide To Normal by Beth Vrabel was a calm book. There wasn’t too many major plot twists but it was still an enjoyable read. It’s meant for a younger audience but I still recommend it!

Cookie  -> A Novella Or Another Addition To A Book

I don’t really know if this counts but I really enjoyed Drama, Smile and Sisters all by Raina Telgemeier. The storyline and illustrations are very enjoyable and incredible.

Sugar -> Very Cutesy Feel Good Read

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han was definitely a feel good read. There was conflict and drama but it wasn’t over the top or stressful to read.

To All the Boys I've Loved Before (To All the Boys I've Loved Before, #1)

Milk -> A Book Others Disliked But You Enjoyed

The Raven Cycle series would’ve been a perfect answer for this one. I’m going to have to say Paper Towns by John Green. It seems like it was a book that people had some issues with. I personally enjoyed it.

Coziness/Sociability -> Three Characters You’d Invite To Your High Tea

Noah from the Raven Cycle series, Theodore Finch from All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven and Scout from To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. This would be a crazy tea time!

Your Favorite Tea And Fitting Book

This is the only question I can’t answer since I don’t drink tea.

I Tag:

Anyone who enjoys a good cup of tea and a book!

That’s a wrap! I really enjoyed doing this tag even though I’m not a tea drinker.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more tags!

Top 5 Wednesday (#4)|Book Trends

Hey everyone! It’s time for another Top 5 Wednesday. This weekly meme is hosted by gingerreadslainey and Sam @ Thoughts On Tomes. Both of these wonderful ladies have video book blogs. Go check them out! To find out more information, future topics and more, go visit the meme’s Goodreads group here. This week’s post will have examples of the topic.

February 8th: Book Trends You’re Tired Of
— What are some things you are tired of seeing that are trends in publishing? Maybe something that pops up on a lot of covers these days, or the popularity of certain tropes in a particular genre? Let it out!

I’m particularly tired of seeing random people on book covers. It wouldn’t be as much of a problem if the people actually looked like the main character(s). That’s only in a perfect world. Here are some examples:

Paper Towns

De Hongerspelen (De Hongerspelen, #1)(The Hunger Games)

Bajo la misma estrella

(The Fault In Our Stars)

Do wszystkich chłopców, których kochałam (To All the Boys I've Loved Before, #1)(To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before)

Oddam ci słońce(I’ll Give You The Sun)

That’s a wrap! What are some book trends you’re tired of? Let me know!

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more T5Ws!

Top Ten Tuesday’s: Book’s I Haven’t Raved About

Hey everyone! I apologize for the lack of posts lately. I’m on Spring Break now (yay!) so I will be hopefully posting more often. Today is Tuesday and that mean’s Top Ten Tuesdays! This wonderful meme is hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. Go check them out if you haven’t already 🙂

Top Ten Tuesdays

This week’s topic is:

Ten Books I Really Love But Feel Like I Haven’t Talked About Enough/In A While

I have so many books to rave about!

1) Simon v.s the Homo Sapiens Agenda

This book is amazing! I recently reviewed it but I don’t have the link since this is pre written. You definitely need to check out my review and read the book if you haven’t already.

2) The Survivors Series by Erin Hunter

This series is indeed aimed towards children. There are talking dogs for goodness sakes. It’s such a page turner! I just finished the last book of the first series. The ending was magnificent. If you’re not into children’s books, at least check it out for your kids/grandkids/friend’s kids.

3) The Harry Potter series

I guess I have raved about this enough… Oh well! I absolutely love the chemistry between the characters and how romance really comes into play. If you haven’t read this series, you need to ASAP.

4) The Fault in Our Stars

I have raved about this countless times. I love Hazel and Gus’s on going devotion and romance and how it grows. If you haven’t read this, you definitely should 🙂

5) Fangirl

Oh my gosh. I love Levi and Cath’s relationship! It’s beyond adorable. When I go to Starbucks, I think about Levi and his uniform for work. Contemporary fans should especially read this.

6) The Warriors Series

This is just like the Survivors but with cats. I read the series quite a while ago but loved it. There is definitely some violence just like in the Survivors series. If you or someone you know loves animals and fantasy, this is the book for them!

7) Wonder

This book is so inspiring. It’s a book all about a boy who’s born with a deformed face. You get to see his journey through school and what he experiences.

8) Paper Towns

This is another book by John Green but there isn’t much romance. It’s a story about what a crush on someone can make you do. It’s more of a suspense and adventure book. I definitely recommend it.

I think we’ll end it here. This post was just me fangirling over books and showing off impressive fan art. I hope you enjoyed it!
Thanks for reading and stay tuned for next week’s Top Ten Tuesday’s.

2) Look at covers from multiple editions and multiple countries for the book you chose.
3) Finally, include pictures of the original cover, the cover from your country (if their are multiple covers from your country include all of them!), your favorite cover, and your least favorite cover.

This week’s theme is: February 4th – Every book has a special someone! Choose a book with your bookish boyfriend.

This week’s theme is really tough. I want to do Harry Potter cause of Ron Weasley but I’ve already done that. Same goes for Fangirl and Levi. I think I will do Paper Towns by John Green.
