Book And Tea Tag!

Hey everyone! I’m back with a tag. I saw this on @A Dance With Books. I wasn’t tagged but I loved the concept. I personally haven’t had much tea or coffee so I don’t relate to it in that way. Let’s get started!

Earl Gray  -> A Classic:

Until recently I would’ve said that I didn’t have an answer for this. Recently in High School we read To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. I can definitely understand why it’s considered a classic. Thank goodness for required reading 😀

Chai Tea -> A Book That Takes Place In Another Country

Another book we read this year was Night By Elie Wiesel. It’s an Autobiography with some fiction thrown in. The book takes place in Poland, Germany, and Romania. It’s a first hand account of Wiesel’s experience during the Holocaust. I definitely recommend this if you’re into historic books and eye-opening experiences.

Green Tea -> A Light Book

This book always ends up in my tag posts. The book is Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. This is definitely a light and romantic book. If you haven’t read it, where have you been?!

Mint Tea -> A Book With A Refreshing Twist

I always enjoy a good plot twist! The Raven Cycle Series by Maggie Stiefvater are always full of twists and turns. I’m not sure why it has some bad reviews on Goodreads. I’ve really enjoyed the series so far!

Chamomile Tea  -> A Book That Calms You Down

A Blind Guide To Normal by Beth Vrabel was a calm book. There wasn’t too many major plot twists but it was still an enjoyable read. It’s meant for a younger audience but I still recommend it!

Cookie  -> A Novella Or Another Addition To A Book

I don’t really know if this counts but I really enjoyed Drama, Smile and Sisters all by Raina Telgemeier. The storyline and illustrations are very enjoyable and incredible.

Sugar -> Very Cutesy Feel Good Read

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han was definitely a feel good read. There was conflict and drama but it wasn’t over the top or stressful to read.

To All the Boys I've Loved Before (To All the Boys I've Loved Before, #1)

Milk -> A Book Others Disliked But You Enjoyed

The Raven Cycle series would’ve been a perfect answer for this one. I’m going to have to say Paper Towns by John Green. It seems like it was a book that people had some issues with. I personally enjoyed it.

Coziness/Sociability -> Three Characters You’d Invite To Your High Tea

Noah from the Raven Cycle series, Theodore Finch from All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven and Scout from To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. This would be a crazy tea time!

Your Favorite Tea And Fitting Book

This is the only question I can’t answer since I don’t drink tea.

I Tag:

Anyone who enjoys a good cup of tea and a book!

That’s a wrap! I really enjoyed doing this tag even though I’m not a tea drinker.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more tags!

Pokémon Go Book Tag!!

Hey everyone! It’s Wednesday and it’s time for a rare double post day. Today I am doing a book tag. More specifically the Pokémon Go Book Tag. I saw this on My Tiny Obsessions’ blog last month and knew I had to do it. Go check out her amazing blog for all things bookish, movie, TV shows, traveling and so much more!  For the record, I do not play Pokémon Go and don’t plan to. I can understand why it’s fun and so hyped but it’s just not my thing. This tag was created by Aentee @ Read At Midnight.

Pokemon-Go-Book-Tag

I’m going to use Aentee’s graphics because they’re so amazing!

pokemon-tag-01starters

This book definitely started my love for reading. It was my first chapter book and after that, I wanted to read as much as Junie B Jones as possible. After that all I wanted to do was read.

pokemon-tag02pikachuI haven’t read any iconic classics. I’m sure I’ll read some in High School though!

pokemon-tag-03-zubat

Hmm.. I’m going to say Allegiant by Veronica Roth. The hype died down a long time ago. I have heard nothing but bad about the book so I refuse to read it. It’s not everywhere now but it was.

Pokemon-Tag-04-Ditto

I’m going to say Half Brother by Kenneth Oppal. It’s sooo similar to another book I’ve read but I still loved it.

Pokemon-Tag-05-Snorlax
Nothing comes to mind. Even if a book is super long, I’d still read it.

Pokemon-Tag06-Gengar

The last book that kept me up was I Am The Messenger by Markus Zusak. It kept me up because of the suspense, mystery and adventure. I just couldn’t bring myself to put it down.

Pokemon-Tag07-NidokingQueen

This is pretty tough. I’m going to say Cath and Levi from Fangirl. They’re already together but they are still the perfect OTP1`

Pokemon-Tag08-RapidashI’m going to say The Hunger Games series. Something is always happening and there’s plot twists popping up everywhere!

Pokemon-Tag09-EeveeI’m going to say The Harry Potter series. I’m excited to see how the Cursed Child book is. But just like the rest of the series, I’m sure I’ll read it way later than everyone else.

Pokemon-Tag14-Magikarp

The Harry Potter series would be perfect for this. Since I just did that answer… The Book Thief. I was hesitant to read it but am so glad I did.

Pokemon-Tag12-LegendaryNothing comes to mind. I don’t really have an series’ that I want to read.

Pokemon-Tag15Mew-MewTwoThe Fangirl collectors edition, The Harry Potter book series collectors editions and the Eleanor and Park collectors edition just to name a few.

Pokemon-Tag10-EggI don’t have any debut novels. Just more from Becky Albertalli, Nicola Yoon and Bill Kongisberg!

Pokemon-Tag11-Lure-ModuleNone! I don’t do any of that stuff.

Pokemon-Tag13-Server-Down

The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon-Release Date: November 1st,2016
The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli-Release Date: April 2017
Honestly Ben by Bill Konigsberg-Release Date: Fall 2016
That’s all for now!

I nominate: EVERYONE who wants to participate! This is a great tag for Pokémon Go fans and non Pokémon Go fans alike. What’s your favorite Pokémon? Let me know!
Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more great book tags!

Top Ten Tuesday|Rewind

Hey everyone! It’s Tuesday and that means it’s time for another Top Ten Tuesday! This weekly meme is hosted by the wonderful people @ The Broke and the Bookish. Go check them out for all things bookish and fun! This week’s topic is pretty free and unlimited.

Top Ten Tuesday REWIND — go back and do a topic you missed over the years or recently or a topic you really want to revisit

I have decided to do Top Ten WOW endings. It was done in April of 2013.

Top Ten WOW Endings: *NO SPOILERS INCLUDED*

  1. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows  by JK Rowling Ending

This ending was WOW in terms of name choices and so much more.I don’t want to spoil anything since some still haven’t read the Harry Potter series!

No rush 😀

2.The Everything,Everything by Nicola Yoon ending

Everything, Everything

This ending was one of the best I have ever read. It was a plot twist I didn’t see coming. If you haven’t read Everything,Everything, I definitely recommend it!

3.The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

This ending could’ve been seen coming but it was still shocking and so,so sad. If you haven’t read The Book Thief, you definitely need to!

4. And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie

And Then There Were None

We read this book in school. It was such a suspenseful and pretty creepy book. The ending was strange and left some open ends to it. If you love mystery books, this is one for you.

5. Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins ending

Mockingjay: Movie Tie-In Edition (The Hunger Games, Book 3) (Hunger Games Trilogy) by [Collins, Suzanne]
I thought this ending would have a lot more to it. It had an abrupt ending which was the most shocking. If you love tons of action, this book is for you!

6. Insurgent by Veronica Roth ending

Insurgent (Divergent, #2)
This ending was a huge plot twist!! It changed everything. I haven’t read Allegiant and really don’t plan to. The ending left tons of open ends for me. If you love suspense, action and adventure, this book is for you!
I guess I only got 6 books!

That’s a wrap!! I sure hope I didn’t forget anything! Comment any books that I forgot that would’ve been on your list.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for next week’s Top Ten Tuesday!

Top Ten Tuesday: Bookworm Delights!

Hey everyone! It’s Tuesday and that mean’s it’s time for Top Ten Tuesday! This amazing meme is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. You definitely need to check them out if you haven’t already. This week’s topic is:

Top Ten Bookworm Delights

Top Ten Tuesdays

Top Ten Bookworm Delights:

  1. Finding a book you’ve been looking for forever!

Everyone knows this feeling! It’s always exciting to finally hold a book you’ve been searching for 😀

2. The smell of new books.

Oh my gosh! It’s so satisfying to smell a brand new book. If you’re a bookworm you definitely know this feels.

3. Finding someone who loves books as much as you do!

This is such an amazing thing! WordPress helps me connect with all the amazing book bloggers who share the same feelings as I do about books. I love you guys 🙂

4. Going to a bookstore!

You can finally get a book and not have to worry about fines! They are quite expensive though…

5. Wanting to meet the author of a book

This feeling every bookworm can’t go without! There are so many authors I need to meet. Sadly, I’ve only met one 😦

6. When the book cover is too beautiful to handle.

This doesn’t need much explanation. Book covers just amaze me sometimes.

7. When your friends and family get you a book you’ve wanted forever!

This is the best thing ever! You get a book you wanted for free! Plus whoever bought it becomes your absolute favorite person in the whole world.

8. When there’s a sequel to a book you loved!

Finding out you can continue raving, fangirling and so much more over the characters is the best feeling ever!

9) Being part of a book fandom

It’s great to be able to express your opinions with people who understand what you’re going through

10) When there’s a plot twist you didn’t see coming

This can either make you hate the author or start freaking out. If you’re lucky it can be both. Authors seem to like to see the readers suffer.

This was definitely a fun topic! What are your bookworm delights? Did I forget any important ones? Let me know!

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more Top Ten Tuesday!

Book Review: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Hi everyone! Today I am doing a book review of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling. I finished this book a few days ago but haven’t been too motivated to blog lately. I’m feeling more motivated and plan to be more active again 😀

Title: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Harry Potter Series #6)

Author: J.K. Rowling

# of pages: 652

My Rating: 5/5 stars

Goodreads Rating: 4.5/5 stars

Amazon Rating: 4.5/5 stars

Barnes and Noble Summary:

Amazon and Goodreads Summaries were uncompleted or not the same as the book

The war against Voldemort is not going well; even Muggle governments are noticing. Ron scans the obituary pages of the Daily Prophet, looking for familiar names. Dumbledore is absent from Hogwarts for long stretches of time, and the Order of the Phoenix has already suffered losses.
And yet…

As in all wars, life goes on. Sixth-year students learn to Apparate — and lose a few eyebrows in the process. The Weasley twins expand their business. Teenagers flirt and fight and fall in love. Classes are never straightforward, though Harry receives some extraordinary help from the mysterious Half-Blood Prince.

So it’s the home front that takes center stage in the multilayered sixth installment of the story of Harry Potter. Here at Hogwarts, Harry will search for the full and complex story of the boy who became Lord Voldemort — and thereby find what may be his only vulnerability.

My Thoughts:

Dang! A lot happened in the 6th book of the 7 book series! I can’t say much but some flirting arises and relationships begin. Dumbledore and Harry continue their battle. I wish I could say more but I know some fellow bloggers haven’t read this book yet so no spoilers 😀

Here are some memes and gifs of Harry Potter for you to enjoy XD

That’s my review of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

What are your thoughts? Let me know! *NO SPOILERS!*

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for the 7th Harry Potter book review!

Book Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving yesterday and an amazing Black Friday today! I’m bringing you another book review. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire to be exact!

Name: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

untitled

Author: J.K. Rowling

# of pages: 734

My rating: 5/5 stars

Goodreads Rating: 4.5/5 stars

Amazon Rating: 4.8/5 stars

Goodreads Summary:

The summer holidays are dragging on and Harry Potter can’t wait for the start of the school year. It is his fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and there are spells to be learnt and (unluckily) Potions and Divination lessons to be attended. But Harry can’t know that the atmosphere is darkening around him, and his worst enemy is preparing a fate that it seems will be inescapable …With characteristic wit, fast-paced humour and marvellous emotional depth, J.K. Rowling has proved herself yet again to be a master story-teller

My Thoughts:

I could not believe how much action was packed into 734 pages. J.K. Rowling seems to love to add plot twists into the last few chapters. There were some pretty terrifying moments in this book. I won’t spoil anything for those who haven’t read it, but it gets intense. I was on edge most of the time wondering what was going to happen next. I absolutely recommend this book and series who loves amazing characters, plot twists, action, and lots of adventure!

That wraps up my book review on Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire!

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for many more book reviews to come.
