Book And Tea Tag!

Hey everyone! I’m back with a tag. I saw this on @A Dance With Books. I wasn’t tagged but I loved the concept. I personally haven’t had much tea or coffee so I don’t relate to it in that way. Let’s get started!

Earl Gray  -> A Classic:

Until recently I would’ve said that I didn’t have an answer for this. Recently in High School we read To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. I can definitely understand why it’s considered a classic. Thank goodness for required reading 😀

Image result for to kill a mockingbird quotes

Chai Tea -> A Book That Takes Place In Another Country

Another book we read this year was Night By Elie Wiesel. It’s an Autobiography with some fiction thrown in. The book takes place in Poland, Germany, and Romania. It’s a first hand account of Wiesel’s experience during the Holocaust. I definitely recommend this if you’re into historic books and eye-opening experiences.

Image result for night by elie

Green Tea -> A Light Book

This book always ends up in my tag posts. The book is Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. This is definitely a light and romantic book. If you haven’t read it, where have you been?!

Image result for fangirl rainbow rowell quotes

Mint Tea -> A Book With A Refreshing Twist

I always enjoy a good plot twist! The Raven Cycle Series by Maggie Stiefvater are always full of twists and turns. I’m not sure why it has some bad reviews on Goodreads. I’ve really enjoyed the series so far!

Image result for raven cycle quotes

Chamomile Tea  -> A Book That Calms You Down

A Blind Guide To Normal by Beth Vrabel was a calm book. There wasn’t too many major plot twists but it was still an enjoyable read. It’s meant for a younger audience but I still recommend it!

Image result

Cookie  -> A Novella Or Another Addition To A Book

I don’t really know if this counts but I really enjoyed Drama, Smile and Sisters all by Raina Telgemeier. The storyline and illustrations are very enjoyable and incredible.

Sugar -> Very Cutesy Feel Good Read

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han was definitely a feel good read. There was conflict and drama but it wasn’t over the top or stressful to read.

To All the Boys I've Loved Before (To All the Boys I've Loved Before, #1)

Milk -> A Book Others Disliked But You Enjoyed

The Raven Cycle series would’ve been a perfect answer for this one. I’m going to have to say Paper Towns by John Green. It seems like it was a book that people had some issues with. I personally enjoyed it.

Image result

Coziness/Sociability -> Three Characters You’d Invite To Your High Tea

Noah from the Raven Cycle series, Theodore Finch from All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven and Scout from To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. This would be a crazy tea time!

Your Favorite Tea And Fitting Book

This is the only question I can’t answer since I don’t drink tea.

I Tag:

Anyone who enjoys a good cup of tea and a book!

That’s a wrap! I really enjoyed doing this tag even though I’m not a tea drinker.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more tags!

The Christmas Tag!

Hey everyone! It’s time for a Christmas themed tag! Since I celebrate Christmas, these are the kind of posts I do this time of year. If you don’t celebrate Christmas, you do you! I wasn’t tagged for this, I just saw it floating around on the internet. Let’s get started!

The Christmas Book Tag

1. What is your favorite Christmas film?

I love Frosty The Snowman, How The Grinch Stole Christmas and Home Alone. Those are just my top three. There are so many amazing Christmas movies!

Image result for frosty the snowmanImage result for how the grinch stole christmasImage result for home alone

 2. Have You Ever Had A White Christmas?

Only once that I can remember. Even then it wasn’t really a white Christmas. It just snowed a bit. Where I live, it doesn’t snow a whole lot so white Christmas’ don’t really happen.

Image result for white christmas

3. Where Do You Usually Spend Your Holiday?

Christmas Eve is normally at home with the family I live with or extended family. Christmas has always been at my Grandma’s house. Sometimes there’s gatherings with family before or after Christmas. It really depends on what’s going on.

Image result for merry christmas meme

What Is Your Favorite Christmas Song?

This shouldn’t be a question! One of my favorite songs is Winter Wonderland.

Do You Open Any Christmas Presents On Christmas Eve?

We get to open 1-3 presents and then the rest are saved for Christmas.

Image result for christmas presents meme

Can You Name All Of Santa’s Reindeer?

Nope… Rudolph, Vixen, Blitzen, Dasher, Dancer, Comet and Cupid. I looked it up and I only missed two!

What Christmas Traditions Are You Looking Forward To This Year?

Today I will be going to my Grandmas for a small gathering. We have brunch, open presents and stockings. It’s a fun time and very relaxed. On Christmas Eve we normally just stay home but this year we had people over. That might be a new tradition!

Is Your Christmas Tree Real Or Fake?

Ours is real. It’s the biggest one we’ve gotten. I’ve never had a fake tree but  I know people who always have one.

Be Honest, Do You Like Giving Or Receiving Gifts Better?

I enjoy both but it’s satisfying to buy a gift for someone and see their reaction to it.

What’s The Best Christmas Gift You Ever Received?

I honestly have no idea. I can’t remember most of the gifts I received. That doesn’t mean they weren’t amazing, I just can’t remember small specific things like that.

What’s Your Dream Place To Visit For The Holiday Season?

Disneyland, London, New York and Hogwarts. A wide variety of course 🙂

Image result for christmas new yorkImage result for hogwarts christmas

Are You A Pro Present Wrapper Or Do You Fail Miserably?

I consider myself not too bad but other people’s skills blow me away. For the very few gifts I bought, I decided to just use gift bags this year.

Most Memorable Christmas Moment?

My first Christmas was probably pretty memorable. Every Christmas is memorable for me in its own way.

What Made You Realize The Truth About Santa?

Truth? What truth? I’m just kidding. My parents kept it going for a very long time. The kids at school ruined it for me. I was in denial until a few years ago. I’m still a teenager so that was when I was a child.

What Makes The  Holidays Special For You?

Spending time with family! There’s some family that I don’t get to see much so the holidays are the only time I can do that.

I tag anyone who needs a last-minute post! Since it’s Christmas today, nobody will be doing this anymore. Merry Christmas, and if you don’t celebrate, Happy Holidays!

Book Blogger Insider Tag!!

Hey everyone! It’s Sunday and I’m finally back with a book tag! This one will give you a look into what it’s like to be a book blogger. If you’re also a book blogger, this will show you what it’s like for me personally. I was tagged a few months ago (oops) by the amazing Amber @ Only True Magic. Go check her incredible blog out and maybe give her a follow 🙂 This tag was created by the amazing Jamie @ A Little Slice of Jamie. Without her, there wouldn’t be this tag. Go check her out as well. Enough thanking and shouting out. Let’s go!

Rules:

  • Answer the  questions
  • Credit the creator
  • Tag 5 people
  • Have fun!

Where Do You Typically Write Your Blog Posts?

On my bed! I love to be as comfortable as possible.

Image result for bed meme comfy

How Long Does It Take You To Write A Book Review?

I have no idea! Probably not long enough. I really need to put more effort into them!

Image result for am I trying hard enough meme

When Did You Start Your Blog?

June 23rd, 2015! It’s been a year and almost six months since I started. It definitely hasn’t been very constant though. I’m trying to get better at that 🙂

What’s The Worst Thing About Book Blogging

Definitely finding time to blog! I’ve been pretty much MIA since August. Finding time is really the only struggle I have.

Image result for not enough time

What’s The Best Thing About Book Blogging?

Reading other people’s blogs, meeting and connecting with bloggers and seeing that people actually enjoy your posts. I also love to hear that I’m wanted in the blogging community. As you can tell, I love most things about book blogging. I of course love all my followers as well 🙂

Image result for i love it gif

What Blog Post Have You Had The Most Fun Writing So Far?

That’s a tough question… I honestly don’t know. Probably one of my tag posts!

When Do You Typically Write?

Whenever I can! Right now, I’m writing at 11:24 pm. Sometimes it’s in the afternoon or earlier at night. Normally not in the morning. It really depends.

Image result for i dont know gif

How Do You Write Your Book Reviews? With A Cup of Coffee or Tea? With Netflix? Cuddled With A Pet?

Just like how I write any blog post normally. On my bed, sometimes with a cat or two nearby.

Image result for cat on bed meme

When Do You Write Your Book Reviews? Right After Finishing The Book? Two Weeks After?

I used to do it a couple of days or so after I finished the book. Now it’s probably close to a week or more.

How Often Do You Post?

It used to be 4-6 days a week. Then it went to every once in a blue moon. Now it’s hopefully going to be back to 4-6 days. I normally do Top Ten Tuesdays, a new meme will be Wednesday, Book Traveling Thursdays, tags normally on the weekend and reviews thrown in.

Miranda Sings Tag!

Hey everyone! After a month of being MIA, I’m back! I’ve missed blogging and hope you guys will still want to read and enjoy my posts!

  • List 7 things you love about yourself (This can be about your appearance, your personality, your achievements, etc.)
  • Don’t use negative connotation. (I.e. Don’t say things like – I’m prettier than an average person or People have told me I’m smart. You ARE pretty. You ARE smart.)

This is a simple but amazing tag!

What I Love About Me:

  1. My hair!

I’m a ginger and love my hair color so much. Even though it’s wild and crazy, I still love it!

Image result for brownish red hair(This isn’t what my hair color is.)

5. My Will To Learn

I’m still in school. Most bloggers are juggling work or a family. I’m juggling homework and school. My will to learn has always been strong. I don’t enjoy every subject. If I can find one I enjoy, I put everything I’ve got into it. I love how there’s never too much knowledge I can consume.

6. My Small Hands

I have smaller hands than most people. I love that they make me unique. My small hands make me who I am.

I love them because they help me see! That may seem cheesy but I have terrible eye sight for my age. I’m only a teenager but have eye sight equal to an elderly man/women. Without my glasses, the world would be a blurry place.

The Book Love Tag

Hey everyone! I haven’t done a tag in such a long time!! Today I have decided to do The Book Love Tag. I was unofficially/officially tagged by My Tiny Obsessions. You should definitely check out her bookish and obsession blog! I have a lot of love for all things bookish. This should be good!

The Blook Love Tag

Without further ado, here we go!

1) Favorite Book Couple.

This is so hard!! I’ll just say one of them: Levi and Cath from Fangirl. The way Levi loves Cath through everything is so sweet! If you haven’t read Fangirl yet.. what are you waiting for?!

2) Your Top 3 Book Boy/Girlfriends

This is going to be tough..

1)Harry and Ginny

2)Katniss and Peeta

3) Ron and Hermione

@Pinterest

3) Imagine Your Favorite Book Couple. Who Would Propose, and How? (If there’s already been a proposal: Who Would Be More Into Organizing the Wedding? *Spoilers*

I’m going to pick Harry and Ginny for this one. In the Deathly Hallows, in the nineteen years later part, they are married. In the book there was no proposal so I’ll describe that 🙂

Harry would be the one to propose. He would probably propose at the end of their time at Hogwarts after the big battle with Voldemort and everyone is safe. Harry would probably do it on the Quidditch field. It would be special and romantic.

@nathaniemmett.tumbler.com

4) Unpopular Opinions Time! Name a Popular Couple You Can’t Stand.

I can’t stand Bella and Edward from Twilight. The funny thing is that I haven’t read any of the twilight books.

5) What’s Your Favorite and Least Favorite Romance Trope.

I had to look up the meaning of “Romance Trope” and still have no answer.

6) Do You Ship Non-Canon Couples Often? Name Some If You Do.

I had to look up “Non-Canon Couples” I seriously need to learn these XD I don’t read fanfiction so once again, I have no answer.

7)Your Opinion On Love Triangles. Go!

I have no problem with Love Triangles as long as they are done right. Most love triangles drive me nuts though. I guess I’m on the fence with this one!

8) Favorite and Least Favorite Love Triangle.

I’m enjoying Hermia, Lysander and Demetrius in the Midsummer Night’s Dream. We are reading that in school and it’s seriously messed up. It’s more like a love square with Helena.  I don’t like the partial love triangle in Fangirl. It’s between Cath, Levi and Nick.

@Pinterest

9) Sometimes Romance Just Isn’t The Way To Go. Favorite Friendship?

This one is very tough!! I’m going to say.. Leah and Nick from Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda. I can’t gush enough about how much I love their friendship and how the book is going.

10. What’s your favorite scene with your bookish OTP?

This question is too hard to answer…

11. Imagine Your Favorite Book Couple Again. Who’s Most Excited About Valentine’s Day (Either Ironically or Genuinely)

This is definitely a tough one. I’m going to say Harry. He seems like he would take every chance he could to show Ginny how much he loves her.

Oh my gosh, I loved this tag so much! That’s why I tag EVERYONE who wants to participate 🙂

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more book tags!

1) Do you have a favorite Winter read?

I don’t do any special holiday reading so any book is good for me

Half Blinking Harry XD

2) Find a book with blue on the cover!

This book’s cover is almost entirely blue!

image

3)Find a book you’d use as the star on a Christmas Tree.

I’ve never read this book but it’s yellow like most traditional stars and has a very appealing cover 🙂

4) Pick one fictional place that would be perfect for a Winter vacation!

Everyone seems to be giving this answer, but I’m going to say Hogsmeade. It’d be really cool to be able to drink a butter beer and see everything covered in snow.

5) Pick one fictional character you’d take on your Winter Vacation!

I’m going to have to say Dumbledore 😀

6) Name one book on your wish list this year!

Only one book? That’s hard. I’m going to say Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone illustrated edition. I didn’t actually ask for it so I don’t think I’ll be getting it. XD

7) Favorite Holiday Drink, Treat, & Movie?

My favorite drink is the peppermint hot chocolate from Starbucks!

My favorite treat is all the delicious cookies my grandma makes every year.

Not actual picture of cookies 🙂

My favorite movie… that’s tough. One of my favorites is Frosty the Snowman.

That’s the ‘Tis the Season Tag! I tag EVERYONE who wishes to participate. Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all have an amazing day 😀

There are several answers to this but I’m going to say Ron Weasley! He is my book crush. I don’t care what happens, I still love him xD

2) Character Do You Want to Kiss Under the Mistletoe?

Shoot! I should’ve saved Ron for this one. Just kidding 😀 I’m going to say either Harry Potter or.. Jake from the Phantom Stallion series.

  1. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone illustrated edition
  2. Carry On by Rainbow Rowell

  4. I Funny TV by James Patterson and Chris G.
  5. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

4) It’s Secret Santa at Hogwarts. What do you most want to receive?

I’m going to say chocolate covered frogs or every flavor beans!

5) You get to spend the day with the characters and movie adaption actors from one fandom. What do you pick?

I of course pick the Harry Potter fandom! It would be so amazing to meet all of the book characters as well as the movie actors. That day would be full of some serious fangirling!

6) What fictional animal would you like to replace Rudolph and be able to meet on your roof?

This definitely wouldn’t go well but it would be pretty cool to meet Stitch! Even if he went absolutely crazy, I’m sure Santa and his Christmas spirit would be able to keep him in check!

7) You invite 10 fictional characters to your New Years Eve party. Who do you pick?

  1. Harry Potter
  2. Hermione Granger
  3. Katniss Everdeen
  4. Hazel Grace Lancaster
  5. Dumbledore
  6. Hagrid
  7. Jake from the Phantom Stallion
  8. Sam from Phantom Stallion
  9. Sirius Black (Can he come back to life)
  10. Ron Weasley

I need more than ten people!

8) What character would make a good Santa? (Doesn’t have to be appearance, personality counts too!)

Dumbledore would be a funny Santa 🙂

That’s all! This was a fun tag to do. I tag EVERYONE who wishes to do this tag 🙂

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more tags 🙂

The Joy of Christmas Book Tag!

Hey everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve actually written a blog post. Now there’s 4 more days till Christmas and that means lots of book tags like this one 🙂 I saw this amazing tag on Catia’s  blog and couldn’t resist doing it. A special thank you to her for her amazing blogsmas posts!!

Anticipation: The Christmas excitement is real, what book release(s) are you most anticipating?

I honestly haven’t found too many books that are releasing soon that I’m hyped about.

image

Among many is of course J.K. Rowling and the HP series. There’s no more that can be said.

3) Gingerbread Houses: A book or series that has wonderful world building.

This of course has to be the Harry Potter series 🙂

untitled

I’m going to be pretty original and say The Grinch Who Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss.

5) Christmas Sweets: What book would you love to receive for Christmas?

There are quite a few books that I would love to receive. Among them, is the Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone illustrated edition by J.K. Rowling. It’d be absolutely amazing to see the story in more of a picture book set up.

6) Candles in the Window: What book gives you that warm fuzzy feeling?

Honestly, nothing comes to mind. I’m sure there are many books I could put though!

7) Christmas Trees and Decorations: What are some of your favorite book covers?

3) I LOVE THE GIFTS!!!

4) Last but not least, the FOOD!!
