1) Do you have a favorite Winter read?

I don’t do any special holiday reading so any book is good for me

Half Blinking Harry XD

2) Find a book with blue on the cover!

This book’s cover is almost entirely blue!

image

3)Find a book you’d use as the star on a Christmas Tree.

I’ve never read this book but it’s yellow like most traditional stars and has a very appealing cover 🙂

4) Pick one fictional place that would be perfect for a Winter vacation!

Everyone seems to be giving this answer, but I’m going to say Hogsmeade. It’d be really cool to be able to drink a butter beer and see everything covered in snow.

5) Pick one fictional character you’d take on your Winter Vacation!

I’m going to have to say Dumbledore 😀

6) Name one book on your wish list this year!

Only one book? That’s hard. I’m going to say Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone illustrated edition. I didn’t actually ask for it so I don’t think I’ll be getting it. XD

7) Favorite Holiday Drink, Treat, & Movie?

My favorite drink is the peppermint hot chocolate from Starbucks!

My favorite treat is all the delicious cookies my grandma makes every year.

Not actual picture of cookies 🙂

My favorite movie… that’s tough. One of my favorites is Frosty the Snowman.

That’s the ‘Tis the Season Tag! I tag EVERYONE who wishes to participate. Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all have an amazing day 😀

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more Christmas tags 🙂

6) What fictional animal would you like to replace Rudolph and be able to meet on your roof?

This definitely wouldn’t go well but it would be pretty cool to meet Stitch! Even if he went absolutely crazy, I’m sure Santa and his Christmas spirit would be able to keep him in check!

  1. Harry Potter
  2. Hermione Granger
  3. Katniss Everdeen

  5. Dumbledore
  6. Hagrid
  7. Jake from the Phantom Stallion
  8. Sam from Phantom Stallion

Anticipation: The Christmas excitement is real, what book release(s) are you most anticipating?

I honestly haven’t found too many books that are releasing soon that I’m hyped about.

pic and info source

Mr. Lemoncello's Library Olympics I am however hyped about this sequel to Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library . It comes out on January 5th and I definitely need to get my hands on it ASAP.

2) Christmas songs and carols: What book or author can you not help but sing it’s praises?

image

Among many is of course J.K. Rowling and the HP series. There’s no more that can be said.

3) Gingerbread Houses: A book or series that has wonderful world building.

This of course has to be the Harry Potter series 🙂

untitled

4)  A Christmas Carol: Favorite classic or one you want to read.

I’m going to be pretty original and say The Grinch Who Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss.

5) Christmas Sweets: What book would you love to receive for Christmas?

There are quite a few books that I would love to receive. Among them, is the Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone illustrated edition by J.K. Rowling. It’d be absolutely amazing to see the story in more of a picture book set up.

6) Candles in the Window: What book gives you that warm fuzzy feeling?

Honestly, nothing comes to mind. I’m sure there are many books I could put though!

7) Christmas Trees and Decorations: What are some of your favorite book covers?

4) Last but not least, the FOOD!!

Christmas Cracker Book Tag!

Hi everyone! This is my first Christmas/Winter tag ever. Many more will come this week and of course next week so stay tuned for those 🙂 Today in particular, I am doing the Christmas Cracker Book Tag. A special Thank you to @Catia. If you haven’t checked out her blog already, you definitely should!

1) Pick a book with a wintery cover.

This is definitely not a teen book but  I enjoyed it  when I was a bit younger.
2) Pick a book you’d likely buy as a present.
image
I honestly don’t buy books as gifts so I will do a book I would give if I could. That would of course be the Harry Potter series. My family hasn’t read it yet and it would be interesting to see what they would think of it.
3) Pick a festive themed book.
Yes, I know this isn’t even a chapter book. I don’t read holiday or festive books so I picked a Dr. Seuss classic 😀
4) Pick a book you can curl up with by the fire.
A Roald Dahl book would be great to read by the fire. Roald is quite a messed up writer but his books never cease to impress.
5) Pick a book you want to read over the festive period.
Whether it is during the holidays or not, I really want to read Dumplin’ by Julie Murphey. I’ve heard some good things about it and can’t wait to read it.
6) Pick a book that’s so good it gave you chills.
This has to be the Harry Potter series. J.K. Rowling is great at putting in those huge plot twists at the end of the book that make your heart skip a beat!
7) Pick a book going on your Christmas wish list.
I absolutely love James Patterson and Chris Tebbetts. They write such amazing books together. I cant wait to see what happens next in the Middle School series!

That’s it! It’s not a very long tag but definitely a fun one. That’s why I tag EVERYONE who wishes to participate.

Thanks for reading and Stay tuned for more holiday/winter tags 🙂

The Reader Problems Book Tag!

Hi everyone! I was nominated to do The Reader Problems Book Tag by the amazing My Tiny Obsessions. Go check out her fun blog! I was nominated quite awhile ago but better late then never right?

1) You have 20,000 books on your TBR. How do you decide what to read next?

I would choose a book that I`m in the mood for. If I`m reading a series straight through like I am with Harry Potter, I would read the next book in the series.

2) You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not loving it. Do you quit or are you committed?

It seriously depends on the book. I might read a bit longer and then decide. If it`s really that bad, I`ll just close the book and start reading a different one.

3) The End of the Year is coming and you’re so close, but so far away on your Goodreads Reading Challenge. Do you try to catch up and how?
I haven`t participated in the Goodreads Reading Challenge before. Heck, I just got a Goodreads account a couple of days ago. If I was in this situation, I would honestly just try my best to get as far as I could. If I get to my goal, great. If not, then better luck next year.

4) The covers of the series you love Do.Not.Match. How do you cope?

I am a bit annoyed but will most likely still read the rest of the series. If the book`s good, the covers don’t matter as much.

5) Everyone and their mother love a book you really don’t like. Who do you bond with over shared feelings?

I either just keep the feels to myself, someone online, or my friends. It all depends.

6) You’re reading a book and you are about to start crying in public. How do you deal?

I am honestly not a very emotional book reader but if I was going to cry I would just let it out. I`m normally a pretty quiet crier anyway so hopefully no one would notice. I would need some tissues though 🙂

7) 7. A sequel of a book you loved just came out, but you’ve forgotten a lot from the prior novel. Will you re-read the book? Skip the sequel? Try to find a synopsis on Goodreads?

I would honestly just read the book. If I don’t remember something, it normally comes back to me eventually. If not, then I would look up a synopsis.

8) You do not want anyone. ANYONE. borrowing your books. How do you politely tell people nope when they ask?

I actually don’t have to deal with this. Nobody wants to borrow my books anyway XD

9) You’ve picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over your reading slump?

I honestly don’t get into reading slumps. If I did, I’d reread a book I really enjoyed.

10) There are so many new books coming out that you’re dying to read! How many do you actually buy?

I might buy a few of them but most books I check out at the library or get as gifts.

11) After you’ve bought the new books you can’t wait to get to, how long do they sit on your shelf before you get to them?

Sadly they sit on my shelf for a long time. 99% of the time I read books from the library. I really should read the books I bought many months ago…

That’s a wrap! I absolutely loved doing this tag. Even if it sat in my drafts for a long time..

Thanks for reading and Stay tuned for more tags 🙂

The Disney Book Tag!

Hi everyone! It’s time for another tag. This time I am going to be thanking the beautiful and amazing @MyTinyObsessions. You seriously need to check out her amazing blog!

Source: Disneystore.com

The Little Mermaid: A character that is out of their element. A “Fish Out of Water”.

image

Hazel Grace from The Fault in Our Stars is definitely out of her element at the support group. She’s a relatedly shy person and didn’t want to go at  first. Then she met Gus.

2) Cinderella: A character that goes through a major transformation.

Ginny Weasley comes to mind for this one. Even though I am only on the fifth book in the series, and am reading this for the first time, this is who comes to mind. Ginny was really shy and quiet and now she has become more open and her personality has really been showing.

3) Snow White: A book with an eclectic cast of characters.

This is going to be a very Harry Potter filled book tag 🙂 Harry Potter has such a diverse set of characters in personality, background, hair color, and so much more.

4) Snow White: A book that put you to sleep.

Absolutely no book comes to mind 🙂

5) The Lion King: A character that has something traumatic happen to them in their childhood.

Willow from Counting by 7’s definitely had a traumatic event happen in her childhood. It made me cry just a little. I recommend this book! I was going to put Harry Potter but decided to give you guys a break 🙂

6) Beauty and the Beast: A beast of a book (A big book) that you were intimidated by, but found the story to be beautiful.

image

Of course, I’m going to put this book  😀 I was honestly intimidated a bit by the size but am loving this book so much so far.

7) Aladdin) A character that gets their wish granted, for better, or for worse.

Tris Prior from the Divergent series definitely had her life changed whether she wanted to or not. She did want her life to change though. It wasn’t exactly for the better.

8) Mulan: A character that pretends to be something or someone they are not.

Sirius Black from Harry Potter can be something he wants to be. An Animagus 😀

 9) Toy Story: A book with characters you wish would come to life.

I want to say Harry Potter XD Right now, I actually wish the characters from the Ask Amy Green series. I just finished the book last night. I admit, I did cry a little… it was sad!

image

10) Disney Descendants: Your favorite villain or morally ambiguous character.

I’m going to say He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. I actually don’t like him at all, I just wanted to put this meme XD

There you go! This was an awesome book tag and that’s why I tag EVERYONE who wants to participate!!

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more tags!

My Life in Books Book Tag!

Hey everyone! It’s finally the weekend. It’s also finally another tag. I am going to try to do at least one a week if I can. Today I am doing the My Life in Books Tag. I’ve been wanting to do this for sometime now. I was nominated by the amazing Analee @ Book Snacks. You should check out her amazing blog with it’s unique set up 🙂 Without further ado, let’s get going.

1) Find a Book For Each of Your Initials

(M)

(D)

2) Count Your Age Along Your Bookshelf. What book is it?

That would be 14 so Four by Veronica Roth

3) Pick a Book set in your City/State/Country

To Kill A Mockingbird is one of the hundreds of thousands of books set in the United States which is where I live. A famous/well known book is set in my state but I don’t want to give that away.

4) Pick a Book That Represents a Destination You Would Love To Travel To.

I want to go to many places so I will show three books and/or series.

1) The Harry Potter series is set in London, England. I want to go to London one day for several reasons.

2) Smile by Raina Telgemeier is set in California. Believe it or not, I have yet to go to California.

3) The Ask Amy Green series by Sarah Webb is set in Ireland. I really want to go to Ireland because I am some part Irish and would love to see the land and life.
5) Pick a Book That’s Your Favorite Color
I love most colors but these are my favorites:

I love the color Blue!

I love the color Purple!

6) Which Book Do You Have The Fondest Memory Of?

I have loved lots of books and book series. One of them is the Little Critter picture book series by Mercer Mayer. I can remember reading these many times and smiling at the Little Critter’s silly antics.

7) Which Book Did You Have The Most Difficulty Reading?

I can’t remember exactly when I read these but the A to Z mysteries really scared me for some reason. I’m a huge scaredy cat and didn’t end up finishing the series.

8) What Book In Your TBR Pile Will Give You The Biggest Sense of Accomplishment When You Finish It?

I will feel super accomplished when I finish the Divergent series. I have to finish the last two books.

That’s all. I absolutely enjoyed this tag and hope more like it will surface. That is why I am tagging EVERYONE who wants to participate!

Thanks for reading and Stay tuned for more tags 🙂
